🔹 What is a Mixture?
A mixture is formed when two or more substances are mixed together. The substances in a mixture retain their individual properties and can be separated by physical methods.

Examples of Mixtures:
- Sand and water
- Salt and water
- Rice and stones
- Oil and water
🔹 Why Do We Separate Mixtures?
We separate mixtures for two main purposes:
1. To obtain useful components
- Separating grains from husk
- Extracting salt from seawater
- Getting butter from curd
2. To remove unwanted components
- Removing stones from rice
- Taking out tea leaves from tea
- Filtering impurities from water
