Simple Tests You Can Do:

  • Add 2-3 drops of iodine solution
  • Blue-black color = Starch present
  • Wrap food in paper and press
  • Oily patch = Fat present

  • Add copper sulfate + caustic soda
  • Violet color = Protein present
